WelcomeWelcome to the British Recycled Products website for public sector sustainable procurement.
The National Procurement Strategy for Local Government 2003 says that procurement should be used to help deliver corporate objectives such as the economic, social and environmental (sustainability) objectives of the community plan and that every Council should build sustainability into its procurement strategy, processes and contracts.
The government has set a challenging target for the UK to be an EU leader in sustainable procurement by 2009. The government's Procuring the Future action plan includes a recommendation that all public sector organisations must reach this by December 2009.
British Recycled Products supply highways equipment as well as construction and landscaping materials made in the UK from recycled waste, sourced exclusively within Britain to keep our customers' carbon footprint as low as possible.
We are official suppliers to the Environment Agency and the National Trust, as well as many other local, metropolitan and regional authorities.
